Linda Lombardo, Long Island’s first certified forest therapy guide, will lead Forest Bathing, a gentle, immersive, 90-minute wander through the grounds of the Vanderbilt Estate on Sunday, June 14, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The event will end with a tea ceremony and light healthy snacks.
Pink Floyd Tribute Band: Two Live Planetarium Shows
The Pink Floyd tribute band Us and Floyd will return again to the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum’s Reichert Planetarium on Saturday, June 27, for two dazzling live performances – in sync with two stunning Pink Floyd laser light shows: Dark Side of the Moon at 7:00 pm and The Wall at 9:00 pm.
How to Create a ‘Pocket Prairie’ in Your Backyard

Legacy String Quartet Plans Evening Courtyard Concert
The Legacy String Quartet will perform classical music in the beautiful mansion courtyard of the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum on Thursday, July 2, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Following a pre-show story about the pieces and composers, the quartet will perform works by Haydn and Brahms.

Shakespeare in the Courtyard: ‘Hamlet’ through June 12
The Carriage House Players will present the thirty-seventh annual Summer Shakespeare Festival on the Vanderbilt Courtyard stage, opening with Hamlet on Saturday, May 23, at 8:00 pm. The festival, which runs through September 13, includes The Tempest, Twelfth Night and Oedipus by Sophocles.
‘Laser Michael’ Now Playing on Weekends
Michael Jackson’s is regarded as one of the most culturally significant figures of the 20th century. In addition to music, he influenced fashion, filmmaking, and dance. On May 16, the Reichert Planetarium premiered the new Laser Michael, showing Saturday and Sunday, 4:00 pm.
