Planetarium Education Programs

A “fulldome” show is an award-winning pre-recorded planetarium program with stunning, immersive visuals projected overhead on our 60-foot dome. Each show is 30 minutes long, and with the addition of a 30-minute live star talk provided by an astronomy educator, becomes one hour long.

All of our live lecture programs are created here at the Reichert Planetarium and presented by a highly trained astronomy educator. Each show is one hour long, except for Take a Hike Through the Solar System, which has a duration of 2.5 hours.

Testimonials from Educators:

Erin, our astronomy educator, was amazing! Erin’s love of astronomy and how she was able to share her enthusiasm with our students was wonderful. The information she presented directly correlates to the science curriculum that we covered earlier this year. I would highly recommend this program to other teachers.

The explanations were very clear and concise, especially for fourth graders to understand. The videos were also very high quality. The students really enjoyed it and were engaged the whole time.
