Last year marked the 100th Anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, granting women nationwide the right to vote. In celebration of this event, the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum presents a special photo series on Mr. Vanderbilt’s mother, Alva Belmont. Explore this exhibit and learn about one of the Women’s Suffrage Movement’s most unexpected supporters.
North Shore Life: Our Local Towns in the Age of Eagle’s Nest
A local history series focusing on the towns surrounding the Eagle’s Nest estate. Explore this exhibit to see a glimpse of the North Shore as Vanderbilt would have seen it, and learn about the history of these towns into the 20th century.
