Vanderbilt Spring 2021 Reopening

Vanderbilt Museum and Estate Reopen
The Museum and Estate Grounds, as of April 10, 2021, are now open Saturdays and Sundays, 11 am to 4 pm. Some parts of the Mansion remain closed because of COVID-19 restrictions. However, the first floor of the Hall of Fishes marine museum, the Memorial Wing galleries, and the Habitat and Stoll Wing animal dioramas are open. This means that guests can enjoy not only the grounds, but also many of the natural history exhibits, including the whale shark.

Private Mansion Tours Begin
The Museum will begin offering private Mansion tours on Saturdays and Sundays, beginning April 17. Please contact Carol Sperandeo at carol@vanderbiltmuseum.org in advance of your visit to book a private tour. Tours are available for groups of up to 8 people.

Public Mansion Tours Begin
Public Mansion tours will begin on Saturday, May 29. Mansion tour tickets will be available both online and in-person.

Nursery Wing and Alva Belmont Exhibition Open
The Nursery Wing and the new Alva Belmont exhibition open. Guests once once again can visit the mummy. In the exhibition, they will learn about Alva Belmont, the suffragist and mother of William K. Vanderbilt II.
