The Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum will begin the holiday season with its annual Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 30, at 6:00 pm. The event is FREE, but registration is required.
The gate opens at 6:00 with tree lighting at 6:30.
The event includes children from the Posey School of Dance performing scenes from The Nutcracker and the Huntington Chamber Choir singing holiday classics.
Visitors can enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and cookies and holiday crafts for kids.
Families can visit and take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. (Professional photos also will be available for purchase.) Kids can visit with seasonal characters such as Frosty and the Grinch.
