Visitors who take guided tours of the Vanderbilt Mansion, decorated for Halloween, will be able to see these weird characters beginning Friday, October 11.

“Our Halloween décor and characters are a family-friendly twist on the traditional haunted house,” said Stephanie Gress, the Museum’s director of curatorial affairs. “We’re not gory, we’re whimsical. We want our visitors to be entertained.”

Gress and her staff have added lots of subtle, devilish touches to the Mansion rooms – spiders, bats, ravens, and a nasty buzzard. And visitors won’t want to miss a photo opportunity with the Wolf Man, who will be seated on a bench in the arcade at the Mansion entrance.
