Registration required.

Wednesday, October 29, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Get ready for a magical night of Halloween fun and cosmic wonder at our first-ever Star Party with the Astronomical Society of Long Island (ASLI). This free event is perfect for all ages — come in costume, bring your curiosity, and get ready to be amazed! Visitors will have the opportunity to look through telescopes at the Moon, Saturn, and other celestial wonders in the night sky.

There will be crafts for kids! Including a Halloween or space-themed paper lantern or a glowing spooky nebula!

For an additional fee of $10 per person, we will be showing “Laser Fright Light” at 8:00 PM.

Do you have the courage to sit through the most terrifying laser experience ever? Songs include “Monster Mash” by Boris Pickett, “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” by John Williams, “Attack of the Radioactive Hamsters” by Weird Al Yankovic, “Frankenstein” by Edgar Winters Group, “Iron Man” by Black Sabbath, and more!

The museum gift shop will also be open in the planetarium from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

☁️ In Case of Clouds or Rain:
No stars? No problem! Crafts will move indoors to the planetarium at 7:00 pm, and our “Fright Lights” Laser Show will light up the dome at 8:00 pm—rain or shine.

🪐 Whether you’re a stargazer, a Halloween lover, or just looking for a unique night out, this is one event you won’t want to miss!
