The Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum is a historic estate, mansion, museum and planetarium and as such, is not appropriate for dogs on the property. (Only service dogs are allowed on the grounds.)
But, your dog can come here with you, and stay in a secure and comfortable DogSpot next to the Gate House at the entrance – while you explore the Museum, tour the Mansion and/or see a show in the Planetarium.
DogSpot, a technology-enabled enclosure manufactured in Brooklyn, features heat and air conditioning, auto-sanitizing UV lights, and a Puppy Cam that can be accessed via the DogSpot app on your smart phone (and monitored by DogSpot staff for added security).
Reserving DogSpot is easy, just download the DogSpot app on your smart phone and make a reservation at: www.dogparker.com/vanderbilt
We recommend reserving DogSpot in advance of your visit to the Vanderbilt. Visitors pay only $5 for every 30-minute increment (about 50 percent off the normal 30 cents per minute rate).
