The Vanderbilt Museum will offer a Seashell Imprint Ornament workshop for children in grades K-4 on Tuesday, December 23, from 10 to 1 p.m. in the Education Center. Bring a bag lunch. The fee is $30, and $27 for Museum Members. To register, please call 631-854-5539.
The workshop will start with a visit to the Vanderbilt Mansion, elegantly decorated for the holidays. Next, on a tour of the marine invertebrate collection, we’ll examine seashells and learn about the fascinating world of mollusks. The workshop concludes with children creating a keepsake to keep or give to someone special.
