This annual outdoor concert on the Great Lawn – with dozens of artists painting to live music by Woodstock tribute bands – is a benefit for Museum education programs. Concert-goers bring beach chairs, blankets and picnic lunches.
The playbill includes Wonderous Stories, Half Step, Milagro and Jellyband, recreating the music of The Who, Santana, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Credence Clearwater Revival, The Band, Janis Joplin, and others. The rain-or-shine event is presented by producer-musician Rich Rivkin.

“Our annual Woodstock Revival event features four of Long Island’s most rockin’ bands, along with live painting by dozens of artists, plus a curated series of art installations on display throughout the Vanderbilt grounds,” Rivkin said. “As I like to say, your eyes and ears will thank your brain!”
