Unique Science Education Program Supported by National Grid Foundation

The Vanderbilt, with the partnership and support of the National Grid Foundation, is taking science and astronomy education on the road with a mobile classroom, Traveling Classroom: Discovering the Universe.

The Traveling Classroom – which allows students to explore astronomy with five, hands-on, interactive stations – is the subject of a new video produced by The Majors Productions, a group of Long Island filmmakers. Housed in a 37-foot customized recreational vehicle, the Classroom is a gift to the Vanderbilt from the American Museum of Natural History, which also developed the curriculum for the successful astronomy and astrophysics program.
