The Liverpool Shuffle, a popular Long Island Beatles tribute band, returns for its seventh performance on Thursday, September 14, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Originally scheduled in the Vanderbilt Mansion Courtyard, the show will move indoors. Forecasts are for rain, so the band will perform in the Vanderbilt Reichert Planetarium.
Tickets: adult $20 (on-line, at Vanderbilt website), or $25 at the door. Children 5-15 pay $15 (on-line or at the door). Children under 5 are free.
Purchase TicketsThe band and the Vanderbilt will be collecting food at the event for the Long Island Cares Harry Chapin Food Bank. A collection bin will be placed near the Courtyard entrance and in the Planetarium lobby.
Joe Refano, who formed the group in 2003, describes its act as “authentic, live Beatles music performed by professional Beatlemaniacs.” The four musician-singers are veterans of the New York music scene with a combined 125 years of experience.
“The Beatles created the greatest popular music in history,” Refano said, “and we attempt to play it like they did.”
