Join us this Thursday for the last Mid-Summer Night Dances of the season. This Thursday, September 3, you can learn how to Salsa, taught by Alfred Peña of Rhythmology, winner of the 2012 World Latin Dance Cup. The evening is co-produced with C & D Productions, Inc.

Again, like last week, the forecast is for beautiful weather. Alfred will give the Salsa dance lessons, starting at 6:30.
The dances, which feature a deejay, are held in the Celebration Tent on the Great Lawn overlooking Northport Bay. Singles, couples and groups of friends all give the evenings enthusiastic reviews.
Each week, professional instructors teach a different dance step, followed by dancing of all types (swing, ballroom, rumba and disco, among others) and light dinner fare from 51 Broadway Caterers.
This Thursday is the last chance of the summer to “live like a Vanderbilt” and dance the night away. Gates open at 6:00. Dance lessons are given 6:30 to 7:00, with dancing until 9:30. Admission is $30 at door, or you can purchase tickets on-line, on the Vanderbilt website, for $25.
