The Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum will enter Phase 4 of the New York State and Suffolk County reopening on Saturday, July 11.
Now, visitors will be able to enjoy more Vanderbilt attractions: the first floor of the Hall of Fishes marine museum; the Habitat and Stoll Wing animal dioramas; and the first-floor natural-history and cultural-artifact galleries in the Memorial Wing. The Vanderbilt Mansion living quarters and the Riechert Planetarium remain closed at this time.
The Vanderbilt grounds will be open to a limited number of visitors on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 pm.
Facial coverings and social distancing – keeping at least six feet away from others – are REQUIRED. Bathrooms will be open to one family/visitor group at a time, and a custodian will sanitize bathroom touchpoints regularly throughout the day.
All visitors must carry out everything they bring with them to the property, including picnic/food waste, and water or beverage containers.
Tickets are available online and at the gate.
