When schools break for the February 2015 winter recess, the Vanderbilt Museum’s Education Department offers fun, creative workshops for pre-kindergarten children and those in grades K-4. Advance registration is required for all workshops.
Cancellation policy: The Museum reserves the right to cancel any workshop that does not meet minimum enrollment requirements. Refunds will be issued up to seven days before the start of a workshop, for a cancellation made by the registrant.

Learn about some of the Vanderbilt family members immortalized on the walls of the mansion, and have fun creating your own self-portrait masterpiece.
Tuesday, February 17: Animal Mask
Grades K-4 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., bring a bag lunch, $30 / $27 Members
Explore the animal dioramas and collection of masks, examine teeth, tusks, claws and horns, and make a unique piece of art.
Wednesday, February 18: Hidden Owl Snow Globe
Preschool child, accompanied by an adult 10-11:30 a.m., $20 / $18 Members
Learn about adaptations that help birds of prey be successful hunters, and make a snow globe of a wintry scene.
