December 28, 2015: “Animals in Winter,” for Grades K-2

The Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum will offer a fun, creative children’s workshop on Monday, December 28, in the Education Center. The Museum is located at 180 Little Neck Road, Centerport, N.Y.
The “Animals in Winter” workshop for grades K-2 will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Fee: $20, and $18 for Museum members.
Children (accompanied by an adult) will visit the Vanderbilt Museum’s wildlife dioramas and exhibits with a museum educator.
They will learn how animals adapt to survive the cold, and create a small outdoor animal to place inside a hanging snowy diorama of their own.
Pre-registration is required. For more information, and to register, call 631-854-5539.
