The Carriage House Players’ annual Shakespeare Festival will present the final performance of its hilarious celebration and send-up of all things Shakespeare – The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfeld – on Sunday, September 24, at 7:00 p.m. on the stage in the Vanderbilt Mansion courtyard, 180 Little Neck Road, Centerport.
Rain location: The Vanderbilt Carriage House Theater, at the same address, up the hill from the Mansion.
Admission: $15 per person. To purchase tickets, call 516-557-1207.
“Three actors tackle all 37 of the Bard’s plays in one 90-minute romp,” said Evan Donnellan, director of the Carriage House Players and a member of its repertory company.
“They’ll race through Romeo and Juliet, present one of Shakespeare’s earliest tragedies as a cooking show, provide a modern spin on Othello, and present the definitive version of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy, Hamlet…if they can remember it,” he said.
“The show is filled with riotous laughter and audience participation. This is the perfect way to end the summer season!”
