The Carriage House Players (CHP), who perform year-round at the Vanderbilt Museum’s Carriage House Theater, are welcoming the season with a delightful twist on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
For the fifth year, CHP is offering Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol. The next performance is Sunday, December 15, at 3:00 pm.
Other performances will be given on December 20 and 21 at 8:00 pm and on December 22 at 3:00 pm.
Tom Mula’s play tells the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge’s infamous, dead partner Jacob Marley, in A Christmas Carol. This is the story of Marley’s heroic behind-the-scenes efforts to save old Scrooge’s soul—and in the process, save his own.
Aided by a Bogle, a malicious little hell-sprite with an agenda of his own, their hilarious journey takes them from the Jaws of Death to the Mouth of Hell—and beyond. This irreverent, funny, and ultimately, deeply moving story retells Dickens’ classic with warmth and infectious zest.
Tickets: $20 adults, $15 seniors and children.
