Fall and Winter Workshops for Children

Children of all ages can learn, create and have fun during the fall and winter with workshops offered by the Learning Center at the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum. The Center is located on the Museum grounds at 180 Little Neck Road, Centerport, NY 11721.

Halloween Party
Grades K-3
It’s lights out in the Museum! We’ll explore the collections with flashlights in a not-so-spooky tour then create a creepy jar perfect for a Halloween display.

Saturday, December 7, 10 am – 12 pm
A Kid’s Life at Eagle’s Nest
Grades K-3
Visit the historic house and learn about life in the 1930s from the perspective of the Vanderbilt children.

Celebrate the Solstice! Learn about the winter solstice and how animals (and people) adapt to fewer hours of sunlight.
