Creative Summer Workshops for Children

For Grades Pre-K through 4, in July and August

Every summer, the Vanderbilt Museum Education Center offers fun, creative workshops for children, offered Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 10:00 to 12:00. This year’s sessions begin July 10.

Children show their drawings after a trip to the Vanderbilt Marine Museum

Fee: $20, and $18 for Museum Members. Pre-registration is required for all workshops.

To register, please call (631) 854-5539.

Each workshop begins with an educator-led visit through the Vanderbilt Museum collections. These include marine and natural-history specimens, cultural artifacts Mr. Vanderbilt brought back from around the world, and his wild-animal habitats and dioramas.

Following the tour, children make creative projects based on what they have seen and learned.
