Children of all ages can learn, create and have fun during summer workshops offered by the Learning Center at the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum. The Center is located on the Museum grounds at 180 Little Neck Road, Centerport, NY 11721.
Parents can sign up for sessions that run through August 16.

Museum workshops run 10 am to 12 pm. Fee: $20 / $18 for members.
Girls STEAM workshops run 10 am to 12 pm. Fee: $100 / $90 for members.
Astronomy in the Sun workshops run from 10 am to 1 pm. Fee: $25 / $22 for members.
All workshops run 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Fee: $20 / $18 members.

Tuesday, August 6
Learn about the Sun, Moon and Solar System and how energy from the sun turns into food. We’ll visit the Planetarium to learn about the life cycle of the Stars and create a model Solar System. Daytime observations with telescope and solar telescope.
Grades 8-12
Thursday, August 8
Learn about the science of Sunlight. Discover how our Universe fits together and the basics of Black Holes in an included Planetarium show and create a scale model of the entire Known universe. Observations with a solar telescope.
