The Carriage House Players (CHP) will continue their Fall 2018 season with She Kills Monsters, opening Friday, October 19, at 8:00 p.m. Performances will be given in the Vanderbilt Museum’s Carriage House Theater, located in the Education Center at 180 Little Neck Road, Centerport, N.Y.

Qui Nguyen’s high-octane dramatic comedy romp takes the audience into the world of fantasy role-playing games populated by homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and ‘90s pop culture.

She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge. Nguyen, an acclaimed young playwright, offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.

Other performances will be given on October 19, 20, 26, 27, at 8:00 p.m.; October 21 and 28 at 3:00 p.m.

Tickets: $20 adults, $15 seniors and children, available at www.vanderbiltmuseum.org.
