Astronomical Society of Long Island
The society is dedicated to increasing the appreciation of astronomy and astronomy related subjects. Meetings are held every Wednesday night at 8:30 pm, at the Old Westbury campus of New York Institute of Technology. Each month the meeting closest to the new moon is held at the Vanderbilt Planetarium.

Cornell Cooperative Extension Service
Cornell Cooperative Extension's Marine Program and The Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum teamed up to bring Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Educators and Researchers to western Suffolk County. The Vanderbilt Museum boathouse is the site for exciting school education programs, summer camp and applied marine research.
